File format: PDF, EPS or TIF (flattened, without layers)
- The current PDF file standard is compatible with PDF/X-4 and consequently with PDF version 1.6. Export from Adobe InDesign is preferred with the recommended setting of PDF/X-4:2008 and “Compress Text and Line Art” turned off.
- Pages must have the exact trim size according to the technical specifications of each order, defined as the TrimBox with a bleed area of 5 mm on all sides and crop marks placed outside the bleed area.
- All fonts must be converted to outlines/vectors.
- It is recommended that images have a resolution of at least 300 dpi. Embedding ICC profiles in document objects is not recommended.
- Files should be saved as single pages, in composite CMYK color format.
- Double-page spreads should be provided as two separate single pages.
- Multi-page PDF files are not recommended.
- Files should be saved without embedded color profiles.
- It is advised to avoid reversed text, thin lines and similar graphic elements on a “Rich Black” background (created with four-color black). Instead, use 100% Black.
