  • Argentina: Complete ban on the sale and purchase of e-cigarettes since 2012, including nicotine-free liquids.
  • India: Restrictions depend on the state. Total bans exist in Jammu, Kashmir, Karnataka, Punjab, Maharashtra, and Kerala. Since 2016, selling or using e-cigarettes in Punjab can result in imprisonment.
  • Indonesia: Complete ban on sales, although some resorts may have shops where purchases are possible.
  • Philippines: Total ban on use and possession. Possession can result in up to four months in prison.
  • Taiwan: E-cigarettes are classified as a drug. Import, sale, and possession are punishable by imprisonment.
  • Thailand: One of the strictest vaping laws in the world. Possession can result in up to 10 years in prison.
  • Jordan: Complete sales ban since 2009.
  • Lebanon: Complete sales ban since 2016.
  • Oman: Total ban on sales since 2012, though it is legal to carry vape devices and liquids.
  • Singapore: Ban on sales, import, and use since 2010, with fines up to $5,000 for usage. Importing e-cigarettes is prohibited and treated as smuggling, which can result in imprisonment or a heavy fine.
  • Vietnam: Complete ban on sale and possession, with potential imprisonment.
